Packserv’s Purpose

Packserv’s purpose is to provide customers with access to superior machinery and technology enabling them to compete effectively, providing high quality products to their consumers.

For nearly two decades, Packserv has been serving the Australian market as a leading machinery and technical services provider for the packaging industry. At the core of what we do is our genuine commitment to Australian manufacturing and sustainability.

Packserv has identified the Sustainable Development Goals where we can have the greatest impact.

These include Goal 9 “Industry Innovation and Infrastructure” and Goal 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”.

Goal 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

Our commitment to sustainability has led us to make significant investments in our factory machinery, prioritising the manufacturing of high-quality Australian-made and supported equipment. As a local supplier with local technical support, we provide Australian manufacturers with immediate access to infrastructure minimising downtime and ensuring optimal production capability.

Packserv has established successful partnerships with leading academic institutions, aimed at introducing innovative solutions to market. These collaborations enable food manufacturers of all sizes to access superior technology, helping to foster self-sufficiency that wasn’t previously available. For instance, our 8 head high-speed liquid filler utilises advancements in Industry 4.0 technology to drive greater productivity and efficiency, while at the same time reducing and optimising energy consumption through new design concepts that mean the machine is more energy efficient.

In addition to aiding Packserv in achieving our sustainable targets, the digitisation of the packaging process also assists our clients meet their own sustainability goals and compete globally. Other areas where Packserv is advancing the industry through innovation is in the area of the additive manufacturing and 3D printing where we’re exploring new composite manufacturing materials to enhance the construction of our machinery.

Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production

Packserv has implemented the following sustainability initiatives as part of our commitment to responsible consumption and production:

Packserv’s Buy for Life Program

Packserv’s “Buy for Life” Program centres around the philosophy that equipment should last for life and should never end up in landfill. The Program promotes equipment longevity and minimises landfill waste by facilitating equipment trade-ins, refurbishing them for rental or resale.

Quality Australian Made Machinery

Machinery construction emphasises quality and incorporates recycled components, sourced from suppliers with sustainability programs.

Waste Product Proclamation

Waste product reclamation is integrated into every manufacturing stage. In addition, our machines are designed for high-speed production, optimal energy consumption with a smaller footprint.

LED Lighting

Packserv has implemented energy smart LED lighting and energy efficient air compression. Packserv’s new high-speed liquid filler is designed to reduce product wastage through a fully electronic design which eliminates the need for manual adjustments.

Sustainability Focused Suppliers

Packserv engages with suppliers locally who invest in responsible production and have sustainability programs in place. Internal recycling is a core part of their production process ensuring that offcuts and shavings are segregated and materials are cleaned, decontaminated, and selected by grade. A process of regranulation and full recycling, ensures results in the production of finished components which are used in the manufacturing of machinery.
