Packaging and Automation Technicians (Sydney and Melbourne locations)
Responsibilities
• Setting up and configuring machinery and production lines to suit clients' requirements
• Making client visits to assess customer machinery requirements
• Equipment servicing and repairs
• Providing technical support and advice to customers
• Delivery and collection of machinery from customers
• Inspecting and assessing machinery condition
• Maintenance and upkeep of the workshop.
Qualifications
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical or electronics would be highly regarded.
• Background in packaging machinery installation, maintenance and repair would be preferred.
• Industry experience is advantageous from manufacturing, FMCG, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics and Beauty, or Industrial & Chemical
• Relevant TAFE/university qualifications in a related technical field would be considered.
• A trade background or experience is also regarded, from mechanical, automotive, electrical, plumbing, building or construction.
Essentials
• Current driving licence.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with basic tools and workshop equipment.
• Great problem solving skills.
• Able to work independently in addition to being a team player.
• A good sense of humour and excellent communication skills with ability to naturally build relationships.
• Good work ethic and positive working attitude
• Australian residency.
We are looking for an all-rounder who is a team player, with a friendly personality, and possess a great work ethic. Our hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm but we seek someone who is flexible to fit in with the demands of the business.
This opportunity requires a person with good mechanical / technical abilities, service focused and is able to work unsupervised. This is a hands-on role that requires commitment, enthusiasm, great work ethic and being a great team player.
On Offer
A full-time permanent position is on offer for the right candidate. Full training will be provided. The remuneration package will be determined based on the applicant’s qualifications and prior experience.

Apprentices (Sydney)
To be successful you will need:
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions/directions.
• Basic language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
• A team player.
• Genuine interest in your work.
• Commitment to safety.
• Reliable and punctual.
Duties will include:
• Assisting the engineering team with part and component manufacturing.
• Loading, unloading, and sorting of material.
• Cutting, filing, drilling, tapping, finishing, checking, and measuring parts.
• Understanding engineering drawings.
• learning manual machining using manual. lathe and milling.
• Mig and Tig welding, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Learning programming and operating CNC. Machining centers and lathes with live tooling (Fanuc Based).
