For over 40 years, Pilot Air has provided high quality products and services to the compressed air industry. With the second generation actively managing the business and with 3rd generation family members now in the business, Pilot Air has always treated its team members and customers as part of the Pilot Air family.
With decades of real-world experience, Pilot Air designs, manufactures and specifies products that provide exceptional performance and durability for Australian conditions.
1980 – Pilot Air Compressors founded by John Pilotto with his son, Eddy Pilotto as the first employee. First reciprocating type compressor pumps and complete units built in John’s garage/ Compressed Air Service offered from day one.
1981 – Company moves to its first factory location in Bankstown NSW.
1982 – The company imports its first reciprocating type compressor pumps from Italy, the “NS” Series of pumps. Complete packages are manufacturing in the Bankstown factory.
1984 – The first “K” Series pumps are imported from Italy and manufactured into complete units.
1986 – Company moves to a larger factory in Silverwater NSW.
1987 – Pilot Air releases its first range of rotary screw type units.
1988 – The company releases its first range of compressed air dryers and filters. The company expands its production facility to Auburn NSW and retains Silverwater factory as its head office and service base.
1992 – The company opens its Brisbane office in Sumner Park QLD
1993 – The company expands to a larger factory in Silverwater NSW and commences manufacture of rotary screw compressor packages.
2003 – The company relocates to a larger facility in Silverwater NSW
2011 – The company launches its first range of Variable Speed Drive rotary screw compressors.
2012 – The company expands to a new site in Auburn NSW for its Service and Spares division.
2013 – The company relocates to a larger QLD office in Richlands QLD. The company releases its Quickline Air Distribution products. The company launches its first Scroll type oil free compressors.
2016 – The company relaunches it Classic ‘K’ series of reciprocating type compressors with added features.
2017 – The company launches the ‘OFP’ range of oil-free type reciprocating compressors.
2018 – Signed Sole Distributor with Packserv Australia.
2020 – Pilot Air & New Zealand established.
